Eccentric electronically accustomed duo audiobooks are an unusual and scintillating musical prospect. Having signed to Heavenly Recordings in 2018, the pair released released one of our favourite albums of that year, their confusingly-titled debut Now! (in a minute). Returning today with news of album 2, 'The Doll' is its expectedly excellent lead track. Characterised once again by vocalist Evangeline Ling's endearing odd-ball storytelling, David Wrench puts his well-honed production skills to the test, resulting in a disorientating dance track that'll make your innards shake. audiobooks' sophomore album Astro Tough will arrive on the 1st of October, but for now check out the Paul Kelly-directed video for 'The Doll'. -Holly Mullineaux
